Welcome new members! 2006 Ghulam Farooq Chaudhry (Toronto, ON) holds a M.Sc. degree in agriculture with a specialization in entomology. Nicolas Debaive (Edmonton, AB) works at the University of Alberta. Darrell Jobson (Okotoks, AB) works with Matrix Solutions Inc. and is intersted in benthic invertebrate biology. Charlene Hahn (Edmonton, AB) works with the EMEND project through the University of Alberta. Carolyn Herle (Lethbridge, AB) works as an insect pest management technician with the Lethbridge Research Centre. Dave Holden (Port Coquitlam, BC) works with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, and is interested in macro- and micro Lepidoptera with special attention paid to the Lymantriidae. Dr. Shelley Hoover (Camrose, AB) works at Simon Fraser University and is interested in honeybees. Trent Hoover (Camrose, AB) is a student at the University of British Columbia and is interested in riparian vegetation composition and stream macroinvertebrates. Dr. Jeing Jun Kim (Lethbridge, AB) works at the Lethbridge Research Centre and is interested in insect pathology and biological control. Cassidy Klima (Lethbridge, AB) is pursuing her M.Sc. degree through the University of Lethbridge and is affiliated with the Lethbridge Research Centre. Wayne Knee (Edmonton, AB) is a M.Sc. student at the University of Alberta, and is interested in avian nasal mites. Joelle Lemmen (Edmonton, AB) is a student at the University of Alberta. Hedwig Marenholtz (Flatbush, AB) is an undergraduate student at the University of Alberta who is interested in aquatic invertebrates, community ecology, and the response of insects to linear features such as pipelines. Matthew Pyper (Edmonton, AB) is affiliated with the University of Alberta. Jamie Pinzon (Edmonton, AB) works at the University of Alberta. Dr. Manouchehr Rezabaigi (Calgary, AB) has an interest in agriculture entomology, specifically in the areas of host plant resistance to cereal insect pests and insect-plant interactions. Daynika Schade (Calgary, AB) is a M.Sc. student at the University of Calgary, and her research concerns the impact of parasitoid wasps on larval competitive strategies in bruchid beetles. Daynika's academic background includes work in ecology and evolution, and she has experience with blueberry aphids. Marla Schwartzfeld (Edmonton, AB) is a M.Sc. student studying the systematics and taxonomy of Ichneumionidae, but is also interested broadly in the parasiitic Hymenoptera. Peter Walsh (Vermillion, AB) is a faculty member of Lakeland College, and teaches courses in agronomy and pest management. Peter's interests also include extension work and pesticide applicator certification. Kari White (Peace River, AB) works in the Public Lands and Forests Division of Alberta Sustainable Resource Development, and is interested in forst pest management, biological control and entomology. Hilary Young (Calgary, AB) is a student at the University of Calgary. 2007 Christine Miluch Ashley Pearson (Minburn, AB) is an agronomist with Cargill and is interested in agricultural entomology.
